In October of 2023, my friend Brandon Pickens, a talented contractor and builder, invited me to his newly purchased property in Detroit's historic Boston Edison neighborhood. Being in the midst of a full demo and renovation was bittersweet, out with the old…in with the new. 

But not all things can change. While his team was ferociously working, I was able to capture some of the “bones” of this home that were original to its 1922 construction. Never forget where you came from.
